New Fundraising Check

Vernon Youth Football and Cheer (VYF&C) is a nonprofit league that relies on fundraising to keep costs down for parents and ensure a successful program for our athletes. Unfortunately, registration monies alone are not enough to cover all the costs accumulated throughout a season. Non-negotiable costs include but are not limited to insurance, taxes, field permits/licensing, referees, and EMT’s.

In the past, limited amounts of parents participated in the events and fundraisers that were rendered. The same few parents were always present and always volunteering. While we appreciate those parents, it simply is not fair.

This year, the board and committee members have been working tirelessly, coming up with new fundraising ideas that would support the league’s mission. These ideas have been discussed at our monthly meetings, which are advertised and open to all. We encourage everyone to not only attend our meetings but to also actively participate.

With the above stated, we are very excited about our raffle fundraiser this year, which is our largest fundraising event for VYF&C!  For those who didn’t notice, we lowered the raffle price from $100.00 per ticket to $25.00, which should make it easier for each family to sell their allotted tickets.  Each family is required to sell ten $25.00 raffle tickets throughout the football season, giving you plenty of time. Checks will only be cashed if families do not sell their allotted tickets.

VYF&C prides itself on providing positive experiences for athletes, while again keeping costs down for parents. To do this, we must come together as a community and raise money for our youth. The more we raise the more the league can give!
